Replace the light fixture or add a new cover on the old one. Light covers and fixtures can be found at flea markets and garage sales very cheaply.

Updating hand towels and shower curtains is a quick and affordable way to change the whole look of your bathroom. If you have a window in your bathroom, hang a curtain or valance to match your new towels.
