These are NOT for the faint of heart when it come to spicy food. But if you can stand a little heat they are woth the time in the kitchen & at the grill

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 pounds large shrimp
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup hickory-flavored BBQ sauce
  • 4 Tbs lemon juice
  • 1 cup dry sherry
  • 3 tbs Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbs Black pepper
  • 2 tbs Garlic powder
  1. Step 1

Buy 4 pounds of the LARGEST Fresh shrimp you can find
Shell & clean the shrimp & rinse in cool water
( this is the only thing that is cool about this recipe)
While your at the store buy some wooden BBQ skewers

  2. Step 2

Put 3/4 cup butter in a sauce pan & melt on low heat
add 1 1/2 cup hickory-flavored BBQ sauce & stir till blended
now stir in the 4 Tbs lemon juice ,1 cup dry sherry
3 tbs Cayenne pepper ,1 tbs Black pepper &
    2 tbs Garlic powder.
Let it simmer on low for 5 minutes

  3. Step 3

Take the wood BBQ skewers & soak them in water for 10 minutes( This keeps them from burning & catching fire on the grill

  4. Step 4

Now put the shrimp on the wood skewers
If you like you can put some red , green or yellow pepper on with the shrimp, but it is not necessary
It makes it look nice & is a great taste treat along with the shrimp

  5. Step 5

Soak the shrimp on the skewers in the sauce for 20 minutes

Now toss them on the hot grill & cook for 3 to 4 minutes on both sides
The whole time they are on the grill keep brushing on the sauce ! ! !

    THE MORE THE BETTER !!!!!

Remove from the grill & ENJOY

These are good with cajun red beans & rise or just plain white rise.
