How to Steam Frozen Vegetables in a Rice Cooker

If you've only been using your rice cooker to cook rice, you've been missing out. Among other things, you can use your rice cooker to steam frozen vegetables.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rice Cooker
  • Frozen Vegetables
  • Rice
  • Water
  • Teryaki Sauce
  1. Step 1

    Pour 4 to 8oz. of water in the rice cooker pot.

  2. Step 2

    Place the steaming basket into the rice cooker.

  3. Step 3

    Put frozen vegetables into the basket.

  4. Step 4

    Sprinkle teryaki sauce onto the veggies (or any spices or sauce you like).

Tips & Warnings
  • Using different spices or sauces can completely change the flavor of your frozen veggies
  • You can cook rice at the same time as steaming the vegetables but following the usual directions for your rice cooker and just adding the veggies on top.
