When you are in your MySpace account, click on the link that says "Home" in the upper left hand corner. Maybe you are already there, but just in case you surfed to another page in MySpace, this will get you to where you need to be to edit your profile.

In the upper left hand corner, below the menu bar with the "Home" link, you will see a link that says "Edit Profile". Click on "Edit Profile".

There you will see lots of places to add text. There is a box that says "About Me", one that says "I'd like to Meet", and so on. Those are all boxes of information that appears on your profile page. Decide which box you want to insert the link.

Code to insert to add a link.

When you decide which box you want to put the link in, type in the text that is shown on the illustration with this step. It is HTML code, and eHow does not allow code inserted in the steps, so we will use an image.

The code must be typed exactly. If you leave out something like the >, the link will not work.

      • 6

The code has two parts. The first part tells the link what webpage to go to, and that is the part that says: www.ehow.com. The second part is what you want the link to say when it appears on the website. To use the code to insert your own link, substitute the: www.ehow.com for your desired URL destination, and substitute: Visit eHow for the text you want for your link.

After you type in your code, you may want to add a line break, so the text for your link is on its own line. To do that, type in the code with this step, after your complete HTML code of the link.

When you are finished typing your code in the desired box, scroll down the page and hit "save" changes.

      • 9

To view the link on your profile, go to the menu bar at the top of the page and click "Profile".

If you decide to remove the link, repeat the previous steps, and delete the link. But, it will look different from what you typed. MySpace adds its own code to the one you insert. It will look something like the code in the image included with this step. If you want to remove the link, remove the code that MySpace has created.
