Things You'll Need:
- Facial exfoliating scrub
- Pore strip(s)
- Clean towel
- Warm water
-
Step 1
If you have not used pore strips before I would choose the most mild version of whatever brand you select. I also would try them without the exfoliating that I am going to talk about for your first time.
-
Step 2
Round up your favorite exfoliating facial cleanser, one or more pore strips, and a clean towel.
-
Step 3
Water activates the pore strip and makes it REALLY sticky so be careful not to touch the side of the strip that is covered in clear plastic with your wet hands.
-
Step 4
Open a pore strip package, and remove one strip.
-
Step 5
I like to remove the plastic that covers the one side of the strip before I get my hands and face wet, but that is up to you. If you want to do this be sure to place the strip on a clean surface with the side that DID NOT have the plastic on it facing down, you do not want to get anything stuck in the pore strip before you use it.
If you do not want to take the plastic off ahead of time I would at least have one out of the box and ready to go. -
Step 6
Get the tap water warm, then wash your face gently with the exfoliating cleanser.
-
Step 7
Once you are done washing your face with the cleanser, rinse thoroughly.
-
Step 8
Leave the water on your face but dry your hands well.
-
Step 9
Place the strip on the desired area ( remove plastic before using if you have not done so yet). Try and place the strip carefully and smoothly to area (i.e. nose, chin, etc)
-
Step 10
Smooth strip to skin with the towel to remove any air bubbles and get better contact. I use the towel over my hand instead of just my hand, because the strip tends to stick to bare skin. ( go figure lol)
-
Step 11
Now you can finish drying your face and wait the amount of time the pore strip box tells you to wait.
-
Step 12
When removing pull the edges of each side up a little and pull slowly up and in toward the center of the strip.
-
Step 13
Flip over and see the results of your effort...come on, you know it is cool. A little gross, but cool! I tried to take an after picture but my camera would not do a close up that well.
-
Step 14
Wash the residue from your skin.
-
Step 15
It may take a few uses to get your ultimate desired results, follow package for frequency of use suggestions.

They are SO much fun to use on other people. Especially men, because their pores are usually bigger and you get tons of gunk out...gross but fun! lol
