Create an Email Signature in Outlook Express

Adding a signature to your email can save you a lot of time. You can add your name, your website address or even a fun quote. Whatever it is you'd like to show up, automatically, each time you write or reply to an email message.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Outlook Express
  1. Step 1

    Open up Outlook Express

  2. Step 2

Go to Tools and then click 'Options'

  3. Step 3

    Click the 'signatures' tab

  4. Step 4

Tick the boxes for your preferences. Do you wish for the signature to go on all emails you send or just those you create?

  5. Step 5

    Click the 'new' button

  6. Step 6

In the 'edit signature' section, be sure the text radio button is ticked and fill in whatever it is you'd like to show.

Add your name, your website name with the url underneath of it or a quotation... whatever you like.

  7. Step 7

    Click 'Apply' and then 'Okay'

Tips & Warnings
  • You can add as many signature lines as you wish. You highlight and click 'set as default' for the one you wish to show up automatically. You can later change between then on a whim.
