Meatloaf makes a great family meal, but there are ways to boost the nutrition and make meatloaf healthier. Follow these steps to make a healthy meatloaf.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Using your regular meatloaf recipe, replace all or half of the ground beef with ground turkey.

  2. Step 2

    Bind your meatloaf with eggs that fortified with Omega-3.

  3. Step 3

    Choose a high quality grain as the filler for your meatloaf. Oatmeal, for instance, is a better choice that white bread crumbs.

  4. Step 4

    Purchase a meatloaf pan, which drains the fat away from the meatloaf as it bakes. Meatloaf pans are not expensive and are easy to find in any kitchen supply store.

  5. Step 5

    Form you meatloaf in such a way that fat drains from the top rather than sitting on top of the meatloaf.
