Meatloaf is at the top of everyone's comfort food list. But meatloaf doesn't have to be fattening. Follow these steps to make a lighter version of meatloaf.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Choose your favorite meatloaf recipe.

  2. Step 2

    Substitute all or half of the ground beef with ground turkey.

  3. Step 3

    Invest in a special meatloaf pan. Meatloaf pans are pans with two parts - one to cook the meatloaf and one to catch any fat drippings away from the meatloaf. Meatloaf pans are inexpensive and easy to use.

  4. Step 4

    Form your meatloaf so that it comes to a peak, and so the top is not flat. This will allow fat that collects on the top of the meatloaf as it cooks to drain to the sides.

Tips & Warnings
  • Spray both parts of the meatloaf pan with Pam or a similar spray to make cleanup easy.
