Unlock the 3G iPhone

This article is about how to get the SIM card out of your 3G iPhone. You can then replace the SIM card with a different one from a another provider. This is nice because if you want to use the 3G iPhone but you do not like the AT&T plan, you can use a different plan.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paperclip
  • 3G iPhone
  1. Step 1

First, take the paperclip and unfold so that one pointy wire-length is free to go into a small hole. Make sure this end is clean because you will be sticking it into your 3G iPhone.

  2. Step 2

Stick the pointy end of the paperclip inside the small hole next to the headphone jack on your 3G iPhone.

  3. Step 3

Push the paperclip inside the headphone jack of your 3G iPhone until the SIM card tray pops out.

  4. Step 4

Simply replace the SIM card with a different one that will fit in the tray of your 3G iPhone. You can test your new SIM card by calling the three digit phone provider number. Thanks for reading.
