How to Clean Mold From a Shower Curtain
The shower curtain in your bathroom is one of the easiest places for mold to grow. Because of the humidity in a bathroom and the folds in the curtain itself, it can get very moldy very fast. But, because it is made from nylon, it is very easy to clean.

1
Determine whether the curtain is worth saving. Shower curtains are relatively inexpensive, and while cleaning one periodically can be pretty easy, sometimes it just isn't worth it. Look at the bottom of the curtain and if it is mildly stained with mold, it is worth cleaning. If it is stained to the point that the only thing you can see is mold, and the original color of the curtain is completely covered, it is time for a new curtain.

2
Rinse the curtain with warm water. This is simply to loosen any dirt or debris that isn't mold from the curtain. Warm water and your gloved hand are enough to loosen anything that will get in the way of your cleaning.
-
3
Make the bleach solution. In a clean spray bottle, mix equal amounts of bleach and water. Close the spray bottle top tightly and shake to combine.
-
4
Spray the bleach solution on the mold. Stretch the curtain so there are no folds. Douse any area visibly affected by mold with the bleach solution. Wear gloves while doing this so your skin remains unharmed. After you have finished, leave the bleach on for 10 to 15 minutes.
-
5
Rinse the curtain with water and go over the areas you sprayed with a sponge to remove any final remnants of the mold.
-
6
Prevent further mold. After you shower, keep the bathroom door and any windows open for 15 minutes and stretch the shower curtain out. By keeping the curtain closed, the water in the creases is unable to evaporate.

Good tips! I was wondering how to do that. I know it's time to toss mine, but always want to hang onto that little bit of change if I can...ever hear of tossing them in the washer or dryer? -
