Purchase two pairs of professional skates. Frequent practice often places wear and tear on the skates. Investing in two pairs of professional skates provides you with a back-up so you can keep skating.

  2. Step 2

Buy three skater outfits to complete your professional look. Choose sizes that are one size larger to allow for flexibility while practicing and performing as a pro skater. Select colors that complement your complexion.

  3. Step 3

Hire a professional coach with at least five years of experience. Check the professional coach references, previous client’s feedback and PSA membership status to determine a right candidate.

  4. Step 4

Practice techniques with a professional coach present each day for two hours. Use a video camera to record each session. Review the clips with your coach to better assess areas for improvement.

  5. Step 5

Join PSA. Visit the PSA website to complete a membership application. Once a member, start a network with fellow members to establish extra support that can assist in your pursuits to becoming a pro skater.
