How To Make Quick and Easy Fettuccini Alfredo

Fettuccini Alfredo is like a perfect black dress, it can either be dressed up for formal occasions, or dressed down, for a simple weeknight meal.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 wedge of parmesan cheese
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 block of cream cheese
  • 4 oz. milk
  • fettuccinni noodles
  1. Step 1

    Melt butter and cheeses. In a medium pan, melt the stick of butter and the blocks of parmesan and cream cheese. Keep heat on low and stir continuously to prevent burning or scorching.

  2. Step 2

    Boil noodles. In a large pot, bring water to a boil before adding noodles. Stir noodles frequently to prevent them from sticking together.

  3. Step 3

    Add milk. When cheese mixture is melted completely, slowly add milk to then the sauce. Stir constantly.

  4. Step 4

    Drain noodles. Cook noodles until tender and drain them quickly. Pour sauce over fettuccini noodles and mix well. Top with grated parmesan and serve hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • When draining noodles, drizzle a small amount of olive oil over them to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Never leave boiling noodles unattended. Water could boil over and create a mess or evaporate, leaving a pot full of scorched noodles.
