How to Use Tags with the Evolution Email Program

The Evolution email program gives you the ability to color-code emails, task lists and memo lists with just a few clicks. Using color-coding makes it easy to track important events and critical emails and tasks. Because Evolution allows you to completely customize the colors you use, you can even coordinate departments or jobs between your email, task list and memos.

Instructions

  1. Email Tags

    • 1

Open the Evolution email program. Select the "Mail" tab from the bottom left of the window.

    • 2

Right-click on any email and select "Label" from the drop-down menu. Select the color you'd like to tag the email from the new drop-down menu, or select "New Color" at the bottom of the list if the color or tag you want is not listed.

    • 3

Type the new tag in the text box and click on the colored rectangle to the right of the text box. A color picker will appear.

    • 4

Select your desired color from the color picker and click "OK."

    • 5

Remove a tag from an email by right-clicking on the email header, selecting "Label" from the drop-down menu and selecting "None."

    Color-Coding Task Lists

    • 6

Open the Evolution email program and click the "Tasks" tab at the bottom left of the window.
