Cook Squid (Calamari)
Cook Squid (Calamari)

Love to eat seafood? You like the fried calamari (squid) rings? Well, here's a simple, healthy, and fresh calamri dish...

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Calamari
  • Onions
  • Scallions
  • Garlic
  • Basil
  • Olive oil
  1. Step 1

Get about 2-3 good sized squids. Wash, clean, and gut them.

  2. Step 2

Cut the squids into 1/2 inch thick rings. As an option, you can snip the ends of one side of each ring so that they look like miniature crowns. This just adds to the texture.

  3. Step 3

Cut up some onions(about half a good sized one) into shards (not diced), prepare some scallions (2-3 spoonfuls), prepare or get about 2-3 cloves of minced garlic, and get about 4-5 leaves of basil leaves.

  4. Step 4

Heat up a pan with a good drizzling of olive oil Place the fresh squid rings in the pan along with the vegetables. Add some salt and pepper to your liking. Sautee the ingredients for about 5-10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Serve next to a bed of rice or with other vegetables. Enjoy!
