Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wide wooden napkin rings
  • Hot glue gun
  • Gold glitter glue
  • Fall leaf sequins or confetti
  • Silk leaves in fall colors
  1. Step 1
Fall-colored silk leaves make a beautiful base for your napkin rings.
Fall-colored silk leaves make a beautiful base for your napkin rings.

Glue the fall leaves onto the wooden napkin rings. Make sure that they are completely flat against the wood and wrap them around so that the entire ring is covered. You may need to twist them two or even three times, depending on the size of the leaves. Use different-colored leaves for pretty color contrasts.

  2. Step 2

Trace the edges of the leaves with the gold glitter glue. For a subtle look, use less glue so that the gold adds only a slight shimmer once it dries. For a brighter, flashier napkin ring, use thick lines of the glue so that the leaves' outlines really pop.

  3. Step 3

Glue on the sequins. Use the hot glue gun to place a tiny dot of glue on the napkin ring. You need only a little because the sequin will spread the glue out. Do not use too many sequins or you will cover up the fall colors of the leaves.

  4. Step 4

Let the napkin rings dry for at least 24 hours before you use them. They will make a bright and sparkly addition to your fall table.

Tips & Warnings
  • When you are using the napkin rings, you may want to place a real fall leaf on top of the napkin with the stem under the napkin ring. This brings in the natural beauty of the outdoors and meshes it with your autumn table.
