One way to reduce shipping costs is to bunch your orders. Instead of placing three separate orders in a month's time, place them all at the same time. Amazon.com offers what they call "Super Saver Shipping" on most items, which gives you free shipping costs on orders if you spend $25 or more at one time.

Another way to save on shipping, especially if you place a lot of orders with Amazon.com, is to sign up for an Amazon Prime account. With a prime account you pay a yearly fee, but get free standard shipping on any item shipped by Amazon.com, and you are able to upgrade to next day delivery for $3.99 extra.
