Beat the Aftermath Level of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare"

Upon its release in 2007, "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" received nearly unanimous praise. Certain aspects of the game, however, may be challenging for certain gamers. Taking place between the end of the first act and the beginning of the second, the "Aftermath" level has been the subject of some controversy. By following this guide, you can navigate your way successfully through this level and continue with the game.

Step 1

Crawl slowly out of the downed chopper. The level begins after your helicopter was involved in a nuclear explosion and cashes, so the first thing you have to do is escape the wreckage.
Step 2

Stand up once you've crawled out of the cashed 'copter. You will be surrounded by some of the most simultaneously beautiful and horrific imagery ever committed to a video game, so explore the map a little.
Step 3

Wait a minute for the level to end. After about a minute after exiting the helicopter, your character will look up toward the sky, and his vision will go completely white. In short, he bites it. The game will then continue from here. You've done it--you've beat the "Aftermath" level, and yes, it was that easy.
