Disney and Pixar have collaborated to create a memorable character called Wall-E, a lonely robot. Not only do children love the toys, games and clothes associated with this character, but at Halloween, they get the chance to dress up like him. Instead of paying a ton for an official Wall-E costume, children and parents can work together to make their own unique Wall-E creation.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large box
  • 2 fabric straps
  • Markers
  • Glue
  • Aluminum foil
  • Gray fabric
  • Goggles
  • Paper
  1. Step 1

Get a large box. This box should be big enough to cover up the child's whole torso. Ask at grocery stores and other businesses to get free ones.

  2. Step 2

Cut out the top and bottom of the box. There should only be four sides of the box exposed. Cut out two arm holes in the box towards the top of the box.

  3. Step 3

Use various colored markers to draw in details on Wall-E’s body. Anything that looks robotic would work, like buttons, levers and different computer components

  4. Step 4

Glue on some small pieces of aluminum foil around the body to give it a more robotic feel. Color in some of the foil to add a little life to the robot body.

  5. Step 5

Attach two stretchable straps to the top of the box. You should measure their length on your child, because these straps are going to be over his shoulders like suspenders and should fit snugly so the box does not fall.

  6. Step 6

Use gray fabric and some glue to create two-pronged gloves. These gloves showcase Wall-E’s arms and are a great addition to the costume. Mittens will work as well.

  7. Step 7

Take a pair of large pool goggles and convert them into Wall-E’s eyes. Look at a picture of Wall-E for the complete design and add in three fake screw holes on the front of the goggles for a more authentic look.

  8. Step 8

Keep your children in normal pants and shoes for the costume because the emphasis will be on the costume's body and face.
