If you're traveling or new to an area, finding a restaurant can sometimes be a challenge. If you have a Garmin Nuvi handheld GPS, however, you can avoid driving around looking for a place and instead search for all of the local restaurants and even sort them by types of food.

Turn on your Garmin Nuvi by sliding the power button on the top right of the the device. You should then get a loading screen followed by a warning to not use the device while operating a vehicle. Once you agree to the warning you will be taken to the main page.

Select "Where To?" then "Points of Interest" in the upper right hand corner. Choose "Food," then select the style of food you prefer. If you have no preference simply select "All Food"

Scroll through the options and select a restaurant. You can select "Go" to get directions to the restaurant or you can select "Show Map" to see its location. You can also select "Save" to keep the restaurant's listing under your "Favorites" category.
Tips & Warnings
If you are looking for a specific restaurant, you can select "Spell" under "All Food" and spell the name of the restaurant you are looking for.
