Instructions

    • 1

Purchase acrylic stamps online or in a craft store. Acrylic stamps can be purchased individually or in sheets. To remove stamps, peel gently away from the backing. The stamps are fragile, so make sure you handle them with care at all times. Do not throw away backing. You will use it later on to store the stamps.

    • 2

Place acrylic stamps on an acrylic stamp base. You can use one stamp or a variety to create a unique pattern.

    • 3

Open the ink pad, and choose which colors you would like to use to create a pattern. Press the acrylic stamp base into the ink, and evenly coat the stamps by moving the base back and forth two or three times. The stamps should be completely covered with ink before applying the base to the paper or cardstock.

    • 4

Press the base into the paper or cardstock firmly. Lift from the paper to reveal the stamp. Allow the paper or cardstock to dry before moving it or applying another design.

    • 5

Clean stamps and acrylic stamp base using mild soap or stamp cleaner. After the stamps have dried, place them on the backing. Store stamps and base in a dry, cool area until you're ready to use them again.

Tips & Warnings

  • To create texture to your stamp designs, use different types of ink. You can choose from dry-based inks, pigment-based inks and permanent solvent inks. You can also use embossing ink to create depth to your design.

  • Only use permanent solvent inks in rooms that are properly ventilated.

  • Always clean and store stamping materials and equipment properly to avoid damage.
