The decorating ideas are endless for a graveyard for Halloween.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Four to six wood boxes for coffins
  • Four to six people to fill the coffins
  • Spooky music
  • White angel hair
  • Leaves
  • Halloween makeup
  • Old tattered clothes
  • Cardboard for tombstones
  • Illuminating paint

How to Make a Halloween Grave Yard

  1. Step 1

Set up the wood coffins so there are three on each side of an aisle. Alternate the coffins so they are not directly across from each other. This will provide a new thrill with every step of the visitors.

  2. Step 2

Use a rope to make the aisle so that no one will be able to get near the coffins. Spread leaves around the coffins and in the walkway. Once the coffins are in place, it is time to hang the angel hair.

  3. Step 3

Hang the angel hair from trees and the gutters on the home and the garage. Anywhere there is a structure can have angel hair to give the eeriness of the graveyard.

  4. Step 4

Place some speakers around the graveyard so that spooky music can play during the time the graveyard is open.

  5. Step 5

Cut out tombstones from cardboard and paint them with illuminating paint. They should have names of scary people and should say RIP.

  6. Step 6

Paint the faces of the people that will be in the coffins. They should be white with scars and blood. The clothes can be bought from a thrift store. Make slices and cuts in the clothes to make them look like rags.

  7. Step 7

Place the people in the coffins before opening the graveyard to visitors. The coffin dwellers can sit up and spook people, or they might even get out and chase people. The opportunity to scare people is wide open when making a Halloween graveyard.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try not to place the coffins so high off the ground. It is better if they are directly on the ground.
  • Black lights can be used for some type of light in the graveyard.
  • Make sure there are not too many obstacles for people to walk around in the dark.
