Instructions

    • 1

For best results, choose a photo in which the model is facing forward so that both eyes are clearly seen. This will make it easier to trace the pupil to change its color.

    • 2

Zoom in on the eyes so that they take up most of the editing screen. Determine which areas you will outline and make sure that you will see enough of the eyes that changing the color will be noticeable.

    • 3

Using the magnetic lasso tool found on the left-hand side of the Photoshop editing screen, outline the edges of the blue of the iris. To create the best effect lasso only the iris and leave out the pupil. Remember to click the "Add to selection" button before you begin using the magnetic lasso tool so that you can select both eyes at the same time.

    • 4

Change the color of the eye by clicking on the enhance button, then adjust color, then adjust hue and saturation. Move the hue slider to the left until it reaches the shade of green you want to replace the blue eyes.

    • 5

Adjust the saturation until the green of the eye is as dark or light as you would prefer. While you can change the eye color to any combination you like it helps to pick a more natural green.

    • 6

Deselect the eyes to check the color. The best change to eye color is in natural colors, as if they were that color to begin with.
