How to Make Candy Bouquets

Candy bouquets are nice alternatives to the traditional flower bouquets. They last much longer, can be made ahead of time, are edible and are still quite attractive. These are great gifts for anniversaries, showers, birthdays and more. You can even make these really custom and make your own candy if you wanted!

Instructions

    • 1

Select a mug for your candy bouquet arrangement to go in. Place a square Styrofoam block in the mug. Push a dowel stick into the middle of the Styrofoam block. Make sure it stands up straight and is firmly secured in the block. Cover the block in the mug with decorative plastic grass.

    • 2

Take a styrofoam ball and push it on to the top of the dowel stick. Cut the candy sticks into small pieces about two to three inches long. Take the individually wrapped hard candies out. If the candies weren't wrapped individually wrap them now with some clear plastic treat bags or even just plastic wrap.

    • 3

Poke a floral pin through the plastic wrapping on the candy and then through one of the small candy stick pieces. Repeat with all the candies. Push all the sticks into the Styrofoam ball. You can vary the levels or have all the sticks at the same level so the candies all touch and form a mum like appearance.

Cut several small pieces of ribbon. Tie the ribbons into little bow. Heat up your hot glue gun. Carefully put a little bit of glue on the back of the ribbon. Squeeze the ribbon between the sticks and press into the Styrofoam ball. Continue with more and more bows until all the visible blank areas are covered and all you see is ribbons and candy.

Cut a large strip of ribbon and wrap it around the dowel stick near the base at the mug. Tie it into a large bow.
