How to Make a Town Fly in Breath of Fire 2
Traveling to different areas in the Super Nintendo role playing game Breath of Fire 2 can become a serious chore by the end of the game because of the huge number of random battles the party will encounter while walking. If you follow these steps the party will be able to make the town they are building capable of flight, avoiding the random battles and making transportation much faster.

Play through the game until the party convinces the carpenter in the city of Capitan to help you build a new town.

Go inside the well in your new town and examine the large machine found there.

Leave your town and travel to the city called Guntz. Enter the house at the north end of Guntz and walk behind the bookcases to find a woman hiding there.

Tell the woman about the machine under the well and she will leave to go check it out.

Make your way through the next few story line segments until the party reaches the Grand Church in Evrai. When the group enters combat with a man attached to a large machine, only attack the three eyes of the machine and not the man at the center. After defeating the machine, head back to your town and go into the well again. The man you saved in Evrai will power the machine there and your town will now be able to fly and be used as a mode of transportation.

Tips & Warnings
If you attack the man attached to the machine you will still win the battle and continue through the rest of the game, but you will not be able to make the town fly.
