A window washer must keep his hands freely available to grab the ladder or rope when needed. It is equally important for him to be able to access tools needed to wash the windows and wipe them dry. Using a Window Cleaning Tool Belt is a necessity to quickly finish one job, and then move to the other one. The belt sits on the waist, and holsters slide onto the belt. The holsters are what hold the varied and necessary tools used to clean windows of any size.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • • Wand Holster
  • • Pouch
  • • Squeegees, larger and smaller
  • • Cleaning rags
  • • Cleaning Solution
  • • Glass cleaner
  • • sponges
  1. Step 1

Strap the belt on your waist. Wear it hanging low, or directly on the waist. This is a matter of comfort and ease when removing the varied tools needed for washing and cleaning the windows.

  2. Step 2

Add ''holsters'' to the belt. The holsters will fit on either side of the belt and will hold a spray bottle of washing solution, strip washer, and squeegee. Another holster, on the other side of the belt, will hold a razor blade and small sqeegee.

  3. Step 3

Buy a pouch or yet another holster to attach to the center of the back of the Window Cleaners Belt. This will contain personal items, such as keys, cell phone, and money.

  4. Step 4

Place the holsters on the belt where it will help you reach the tools the fastest. If you are right handed, place the holster with the cleaning solution on the right side. Those who are left handed, will put it on their left side. Hang the towels on either side of the belt.

Tips & Warnings
  • When setting up the holsters to the belt, think of it as a desk top. Put the items that you need first on the right for immediate and fast access. If you are left handed, place on the left side.
  • The belt and the holsters are for helping to do the job faster and easier. Set it up with your needs in mind.
  • Make sure your hands are able to grab the rope of the scaffold in the event that it snaps. Replace items you take out of the holsters, immediately after using them. Work quickly at all times.
