How to Bless a Home
When moving into a new home you may wish to have the house cleaned out of its spiritual and other unwanted visitors. Or perhaps something recently happened in your your home and you simply want to get rid of those feelings and bad energy. Bringing your spiritual or religious leader into your home and asking him to help you release these items can make your house become a home.

Open up the house. Open all the doors and windows to let out any spirits, bad feelings and unwelcome things out into the wild. Let the wind blow through the home and out all the bad and old spirits. Leave the home open for an entire day, from sunrise to sunset.

Annoint your entryway with oil. Pour oil over the doorway and let it glide down the door jamb. Say the prayer of blessing. If you don't believe in the prayer of blessing go ahead and say your own similar prayer which blesses a residence and asks for the supreme being to allow good things to happen within the dwelling.

Invite a pastor, priest or other religious leader into your home and ask hime to pray with you in blessing your house a home and to fill it with wonderful memories. It would be polite if you ask him to stay for dinner and cook him a nice dinner in appreciation for his time and well wishes.

Light incense candles all around the house, with at least one in each room. You can also light votive candles if you would like and place them besides the incense candle to help guide unwanted spirits out of the home. Let the candles burn all the way down until they put themselves out.

Close up all the doors and windows at nightfall after the candles have burned out. Sleep tight and know that your home is blessed and will be a safe place all your own.
