Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Biscotti:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 oz. chopped semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tbsp. water or milk
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • Fondue:
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 12 oz. chopped white chocolate
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Chocolate Chip Biscotti

  1. Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and oil a cookie sheet.

  2. Step 2

Combine the flour, chopped semisweet chocolate, sugar and 1 tsp. baking powder in a mixing bowl.

  3. Step 3

Put the water in a separate bowl. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, and stir the mixture into the dry ingredients until thoroughly blended.

  4. Step 4

Flour a surface lightly and place the dough on it, then knead it about 10 times. Use your hands to shape the dough into a roll about 16 inches long.

  5. Step 5

Set the roll on the oiled cookie sheet and mold it until it's about 1 inch thick. Bake the biscotti for 25 minutes. Remove the biscotti from the oven and let cool for approximately 10 minutes on a wire rack.

  6. Step 6

Slice the roll into diagonal 1/2-inch cookies, and put them on the oiled cookie sheet.

  7. Step 7

Turn the heat down to 325 degrees and bake the biscotti for an additional 10 minutes. Turn the biscotti cookies over and continue baking for approximately 10 more minutes. Take them off the cookie sheet and place on wire racks to cool. The biscotti should be soft and then harden as it cools.

  8. White Chocolate Fondue

  9. Step 1

Heat the fondue pot while you prepare the other ingredients.

  10. Step 2

Place the cream in a saucepan and heat it over medium-low heat for about 3 minutes, until the cream is hot. Don't allow it to boil.

  11. Step 3

Stir the chopped white chocolate into the hot cream and continue stirring until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  12. Step 4

Add the pure vanilla extract, and pour the fondue into the fondue pot.

  13. Step 5

Serve the white chocolate fondue with your chocolate chip biscotti.
