Step 1
Investigate the court shows available to you. Make a list of all the daytime courtroom shows you can find. There are more shows of this nature than ever before, so you will have plenty of options. You can wait until the end of the program to get information on applying to be on the show. They usually give you an address or phone number to contact with your case information.

Step 2
Find a daytime court show that fits your type of case. If you have a case seeking damages from a business contract, Divorce Court is not the right daytime court show for you. Know what the different shows specialize in, whether it is small claims or matters of the heart.
-
Step 3
Determine which personalities of judges you can handle. Not everyone can handle some daytime court judges, who are intense and dramatic. Other daytime court judges are more relaxed and jovial.
-
Step 4
Talk with producers of the shows regarding your case. Get a feel for how sympathetic the producers are toward you during the interview process. Ask them questions about the legalities of your case. If they answer them, you can get a feel for how the judge on the daytime court show might be. Appear on a daytime court show in which the producers are sympathetic to your side of the story. You may have a better chance of winning.

Step 5
Watch the daytime court shows to get a feel for what the judge is like. Different judges interpret laws in different ways. Judge Judy tends to throw the book at people and Judge Christina appears to come off as more sympathetic in many cases.
