Things You'll Need:
- 3 cups compost
- 1 large bucket
- 1/2 cup epsom salts
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- Trowel for stirring
- Large airtight container
- Indelible black marker
- 1/2 cup powdered whole milk
- Shovel or rake

Step 1
Put 3 cups compost in a large bucket.

Add 1/2 cup epsom salts and 1 tablespoon baking soda, and stir it together with a trowel until the epsom salts and baking soda are thoroughly mixed into the compost.

Transfer the fertilizer mixture to a large, airtight container, and label the container with an indelible marker.

Spread a handful of the compost mixture around the base of the tomato plant.

Sprinkle 1/2 cup powdered whole milk on top of the compost mixture and work the natural fertilizer in lightly with a shovel or rake.

Feed your tomato plants with the compost mixture and dry milk every few weeks throughout the growing season.
