Hire an electrician to properly wire and connect your chlorine generator to the pool plumbing. A 110 or 220 service is required, depending on your existing filtration system.
-
Step 3
Add 50 lb. of salt per 2,000 gallons of water directly to the deep end of your swimming pool. The amount of salt you need will depend on the type and size of your pool.
-
Step 4
Test the salt salinity at least once a week to be sure your salt levels remain at 3,000 ppm (parts per million).
-
Step 5
Be sure to do all the maintenance recommended by your owner's manual. Your chlorine generator requires minimal work, but by doing the maintenance, you'll maximize its performance and life.
