How to Beat the Clean Getaway Mission in Grand Theft Auto IV

The Clean Getaway Mission in Grand Theft Auto IV is a pretty straightforward mission from Vlad. It involves collecting a car, washing it and delivering it to Vlad's lock-up. The main point of this mission is to introduce you to the car wash.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

1. Start the mission by going to Vlad's usual hangout, Comrade's Bar. There is a car out in Liberty City--a specific Blista Compact--that he wants you to steal for him.

2. Get yourself over to the subway station (marked on your map). Once there, take the train to the EIC stop. To ride the subway, simply walk onto the train. Once on the train, you can either sit and wait for the ride to be over, or you can press "A" to skip ahead to your destination.

3. Spot the silver Blista Compact outside the station. Steal it and drive away. To steal the car, stand next to it and press "Y" to break the window and unlock the door.

4. Drive the car to the car wash on Saratoga Avenue. Take the car through the car wash and get it clean.

5. Drive the car over to Vlad's lock-up and park it in the designated spot to end the mission.

Tips & Warnings

• When stealing a car, tap the L and R triggers repeatedly to quickly hot-wire the engine.
