How to Publish a White Paper

A white paper can serve as an introduction to a new product or innovative technology, persuade a consumer to make a purchase or it may simply propose a solution to a problem. The author must write a white paper for a specific audience and tailor it to address their concerns, meet a need or satisfy an interest if there is any chance of others reading it on a company's website.

Instructions

1. Consider using ThomasNet, HDI or another venue for publishing your white paper.

2. Review abstracts and white papers on both ThomasNet and HDI to identify the type of material these online publishers are seeking. Click on the "Archives" link to find white papers on HDI or click on the "White Papers" link at the top of the ThomasNet website to find these resources.

3. Create a membership account with ThomasNet if you decide you want to submit your white paper to the company's website.

4. Read the "Terms and Conditions" on the ThomasNet and HDI websites to learn more about the specific requirements for submitting abstracts and white papers then check the agreement box to indicate that you are in full compliance with terms and conditions given by the company's website.

5. Upload your white paper to the website in ThomasNet or complete the contact information and upload your white paper to the HDI website. Click the button to submit your abstract and white paper to the company's website.
