Finding used designer jeans requires some detective work and a little good luck. There are many outlet stores that sell designer jeans but for used designer jeans you will have to shop in thrift and consignment stores and online. Used designer jeans are often well worn with patches and a few holes but those add to the character of the jeans.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start searching for designer jeans in consignment shops. Many consignment shops take in clothes from more affluent areas as people there have invested more in their clothing than others and want to recover some of their costs.

  2. Step 2

Shop in the local thrift stores such as Goodwill and Salvation Army. These stores have huge shipments come in once or twice a week. Ask the staff what day the deliveries are made and arrive early on those days. If you cannot go, ask a friend or family member to shop for you.

  3. Step 3

Spend Saturday and Sunday mornings going to yard sales and flea markets. There are millions of yard sales across America each summer and many have designer jeans, but arrive early as the jeans are often bought by some of the first customers.

  4. Step 4

Bid or buy used designer jeans online through one of the many online marketplaces. Designer jeans are hot selling items and don't expect to get away with too low a price if you get involved in a bidding battle with another shopper.

  5. Step 5

Attend auctions of personal belongings. Many auctions feature clothing and other designer accessories. Auctions are a great way to add multiple pairs of designer jeans to your collection. You should ask to try on a pair before buying too many pairs, as the clothes for auction may come from multiple individuals.
