Step 1
Familiarize yourself with the brand names of designer jeans. Forget names like Jordache and Calvin Klein. Some of today's top jean designers include True Religion, Rock and Republic, Stella McCartney, Juicy Couture, Citizens of Humanity and Anlo.

Step 2
Find out when the schools and churches in that part of town will have their swap meets. You can call the schools and churches in question or you can check their websites for swap meet dates.
-
Step 3
Look at the large swap meets that are held regularly in many cities or regions of the country that attract hundreds of vendors and thousands of shoppers. Your chances of finding anything you're looking for will be greater at these meets because there are so many more items being sold. These will likely be organized in the newspaper, or you can search for the terms "swap meet" and your state, city or region.

Step 4
Know what your designer jean brands look like. There is the possibility of finding fake designer brands at the meet, so always inspect them to make sure they look the way they should. One giveaway for just about every designer brand is shoddy workmanship. If the seams are crooked and the workmanship looks shoddy, chances are that the pair is a fake. Also pay attention to the tags, hardware such as zippers, rivets and embellishments, making sure they're adequately attached and have known names on them, not a made-up name that mimics a designer brand.
