How to Relieve Neck Spasms With Exercise
Neck spasms can be extremely painful and debilitating, but once your doctor gives you the go ahead, you may find that some simple exercises can relieve the pain considerably. For best results, be patient, start gently and do the exercises regularly.

Clasp your hands together behind your head, and turn your head slowly to the right. Then, use your hands to push your head gently down towards the right side of your chest. Hold the position as your relax and count to 15. Repeat three times.

Turn your head slowly to the left and repeat the exercise as directed above. Repeat three times.

Put your fingers on your chin and push your head straight back as you continue to look straight ahead. Don't tilt your head. Hold the gentle stretch for 5 seconds, and repeat the exercise five times.

Turn your head and look over your right shoulder. Put the palm of your right hand on the left side of your chin and push your chin while you count to 10. Repeat three times.

Repeat the exercise with your head turned to the left and the palm of your left hand pushing on your chin. Repeat three times.

Live your shoulder blades as if they will touch your ears, and hold for 5 seconds. Squeeze 10 times, and repeat the exercise three times.

Sit in a chair with both hands behind your head and look up towards the ceiling, stretching gently. Repeat 10 times, and any time your neck feels stiff.
