Things You'll Need:
- Shipping tags or cardstock
- Patterned paper
- Adhesives
- Stamping ink
- Alphabet stamps or stickers
- Photos
- Pens
- Embellishments
- Ribbon, bead chain or binder ring
-
Step 1
Gather several manila shipping tags to become the background for your mini album pages. You can also create your own tags by tracing or printing a pattern onto a thick piece of cardstock and creating the hole at the top with a hand-held punch (see Resources below).
-
Step 2
Cover the front and back of the tags with colorful cardstock or patterned paper that suits the theme of your project. You can also run an ink pad in a coordinating shade around the edges of the tags as a pretty touch.
-
Step 3
Create a cover for the album by using alphabet stamps or letter stickers to form a title that represents the photos or overall theme on the front of the first tag.
-
Step 4
Choose the photos to complete your tag album. You'll either need to resize or crop the images to fit on the tags.
-
Step 5
Design your mini-layouts by affixing a photo or two to each tag and writing the corresponding text on either the back of the tag or on the tag that it will face when the album is "open."
-
Step 6
Embellish the tags with items like buttons, ribbon, stickers, mini-die cuts or chipboard shapes.
-
Step 7
Bind the tags together by threading a length of ribbon through the holes and tying a knot. Be sure the ribbon is loose enough that you can turn the "pages" of the mini-album easily. Further adorn the chain or ring by adding several ribbon ties to it.
