How to Adopt a Natural Beauty Routine for Sensitive Skin

If you have sensitive, easily irritated skin, taking proper care of your face becomes more of a challenge. Handle your sensitive skin with care. Cleanse and moisturize it to keep it looking its best.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Liquid Castile soap
  • Rosewater or cooled green tea
  • Cotton ball or cotton pad
  • Tea tree oil, carrot oil, or lavender essential oil
  • Honey
  1. Step 1

    Wash your face gently every morning when you get up, and every night before you go to bed. Use an all-natural, non-irritating cleanser such as liquid Castile soap. Wash your face with a soft cloth, or just use your fingertips. Avoid hot water.

  2. Step 2

    Smooth a gentle, alcohol-free toner on your face to close your pores, brighten your skin, and restore the pH balance. Rosewater is a natural toner, or try some cooled green tea. Splash the toner on with your fingers, or use a cotton ball or cotton pad.

  3. Step 3

    Moisturize your face with a light, all-natural moisturizer. Smooth on some tea tree oil, carrot oil, or lavender essential oil.

  4. Step 4

    Deep cleanse your sensitive skin once or twice each week with a gentle and soothing facial. Pure honey makes a soothing facial for sensitive skin. Warm a spoonful of honey slightly in the microwave to thin it, and smooth it over your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 minutes, and rinse it with lukewarm water.

  5. Step 5

    Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water each day. Keeping your skin well hydrated is one of the most important things you can do to keep your skin supple and healthy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Protect your sensitive skin from the sun by shading it with a sun hat. Use an alcohol-free sun tan lotion with a sun protection factor of at least 15.
