If you own a version of the Apple Stylewriter, the company's inkjet printer, then you'll probably want to save money on your ink refills. You can refill your Apple ink cartridges and extend the life of the ink cartridge.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase a refill kit from an online inkjet store. On Inkjet Cartridges.com, you can purchase a refill kit that's compatible with an Apple printer. Select your model from the list and choose between color and black ink Apple refill kits. Refill kits include a drilling tool, syringe, ink and instructions.

  2. Step 2

Turn off your printer and remove the Apple cartridge you need to refill. Find the vent hole on the cartridge. Use the enclosed refill kit drill in order to puncture the hole.

  3. Step 3

Fill up the syringe with color or black ink. Slowly fill up the syringe until you have enough ink for the Apple cartridge.

  4. Step 4

Place the syringe into the hole you drilled. Fill the cartridge up slowly in order for the sponge inside to absorb the ink properly.

  5. Step 5

Insert the refilled Apple cartridge into your Stylewriter. Run a test print to ensure the cartridge works and does not leave any streaks when printing.

Tips & Warnings
  • You should put on rubber gloves and refill the Apple ink cartridge over a paper towel to avoid a mess.
  • If the Apple cartridge won't work after refilling it, you can take a small straw and blow air inside of the cartridge. This should prime the ink and allow it to print when reinserted into the printer.
