How to Add a Feedback Form to a Blog

One of the best ways for a blogger to build readership and increase subscriber base is to add a feedback form to their blog. The feedback form gives readers a way, beyond the comments section of the blog, to contact the blogger and interact with the blogger in a more personal way.

Instructions

1. Identify the best sort of feedback form for your particular blog platform. Self-hosted blog platforms such as WordPress have many more options available to them when it comes to adding a feedback form to a blog. Other blogs, such as Blogger or TypePad blogs, have fewer options.

2. Download the proper feedback form or contact form plug-in. For WordPress, you can consider "Enquiry/Contact Form" from Clear Skys. For a Blogger blog, consider "Web Form Designer."

3. Determine the fields you want to have in the feedback form. For example, you may want to ask for the reader's name, email address and phone number. You'll need to decide if you want to require readers to fill out each of these fields, as well.

4. Install the feedback form on the appropriate page of your blog. You may wish to either include the feedback form on each page at the bottom of each post, or you may wish to have a single page for your feedback form.

5. Set up your feedback form to send the reader feedback to whatever email address you intend to use for that blog.
