How to Store Rubber Stamps
Storing rubber stamps correctly can mean the difference between using the same rubber stamps for years to come and having to regularly replace them by purchasing new ones. Read the following tips to learn how to properly store and keep rubber stamps.

1
Invest in a plastic, covered storage unit. Some rubber stamp owners prefer shallow containers to reduce damage to their stamps. If you choose to use shallow containers, make sure to purchase as many as you need to keep your rubber stamps; avoid buying one shallow container and stuffing all of the stamps into it.
-
2
Stack your rubber stamps. Start with placing the larger stamps on the bottom of the storage unit. Make sure that you keep them as flat as possible. Allowing your stamps to hang over others may increase the possibility that they begin to bend, break and crack.

3
Adjust the cover on the storage unit and make sure the cover closes the storage unit. Keeping the unit closed can protect your rubber stamps from dust, moisture, vermin and other things that can compromise your rubber stamp's usability.
-
4
Place your stamps in a place away from sunlight, heat and cold. Room temperature is the ideal temperature to keep your rubber stamps. A cool, dark place in the back of a closet, cabinet, cupboard, drawer or another largely undisturbed area is good place to store your rubber stamps until you decide to use them again.

Tips & Warnings
Some crafty people like to keep their rubber stamps in clear, hanging shoe bags that you can place on a closet door. These bags give easy, instant access to stamps and can help you quickly find the rubber stamp you're looking for.

Are the plastic drawers deep enough for the stamps to stand up or do they lay on their sides? Great idea. -

Fantastic idea for storing and caring for rubber stamps. They're definitely an investment, so it's worth the time it takes to keep them in good condition.
