How to Get Job Training

Whether you currently work for an organization or are just starting out in your field, training is a big part of any job. With career advancement, technology and program improvements you will learn new things throughout your career. There are a number of resources and training opportunities available either in a classroom environment or online that will fit your needs and also your schedule.

Instructions

    • 1

Determine if you would be more comfortable in a classroom environment. Some students are not disciplined enough to do independent job training.

    • 2

Look online for some of the classroom training opportunities. View their course catalog offerings and schedules for availability. Search their database for a school located near you.

    • 3

Call and schedule an appointment to visit a couple of schools or training centers. Look around the facility and speak with an adviser to determine if the training center is a good fit for you.

    • 4

Schedule an online training class. These classes area led by an instructor and have a set schedule. Homework and study are part of the program.

    • 5

Take advantage of applicable webinars. Schedule your webinar, receive confirmation and join the program in real time. For attendance you will need only your computer, Internet access and a phone. An instructor will welcome you to the online class and begin the program.

    • 6

View a recorded webinar at your leisure or at a more convenient time. Visit the company or school's website to view a list of all the available online demand webinars.

    • 7

Apply for an internship opportunity. Work full or part time and get the hands on experience and training from employees already working in the field.
