Step 1
Mount your ozonator in a dry, well-ventilated place. Most manufacturers recommend attaching it to the spa cabinet, the wall of the hot tub room or in a dry place under your deck. The idea is to keep this within reach but safe from getting wet.
-
Step 2
Connect the ozonator's tubing to the hot tub. Locate the small jet at the bottom of your tub. There will be a jet port and an air port. Connect the tubing to these ports and run the tubing back to where you have mounted your ozonator and securely fasten this to the port.
-
Step 3
Cut the tubing about six inches from the ozonator. You are going to attach these two back together by using the check valve included with your ozonator. Insert the end of the valve that does not allow air to pass through so it faces the spa. Insert the opposite end in the short piece of tubing from the ozonator.
-
Step 4
Insert the electrical plug attachment into the ozonator. This end is clearly marked on the cord and fits in without forcing. Find the power plug installed near your spa's pump and plug the other end in.
-
Step 5
Set the timer on your spa to function for 3 hours of every 12-hour cycle. This will provide your spa with a large enough dose of ozone to cleanse it.
