Step 1
Determine if you wish to have your entire home converted to solar power or if you would like to have just some electronic devices within your home converted. It is easier to convert your entire home to solar power than it is to do just individual devices, especially if those devices are regular large users of electricity.
-
Step 2
Look for whole home options. To convert the whole home or even commercial enterprises, invest in solar systems, available through various electricity providers and independent companies. Solar systems are installed on the roof of the location and will supply years of solar power without any or little maintenance. The newest models are highly effective and readily available.
-
Step 3
Investigate all solar power options including solar modules which provide all you need to get solar power to your entire home. This includes providing mounting kits and solar systems, plug and play wiring, power meters for performance monitoring, and power electronics adapters.
-
Step 4
Consider solar panels for individual solar device conversion. Individual solar panels are sold which store energy to provide to your electronic device. To convert your electronics using them, buy an adapter kit, which will allow you to virtually plug the device into the solar panel for use.
-
Step 5
Monitor the use of all solar power devices carefully. Unless they are in the sun for the necessary amount of time, they will not work for you. Having back up electricity may be necessary in some areas where the sun is not available extensively.
