How to Get Meteor Free Texts While Roaming
Meteor Mobile Communications Limited is one of the top cellular phone companies in the Republic of Ireland. One of the benefits Meteor affords its customers is free texts between its users. Texts made outside of Ireland are considered roaming with a subsequent charge, but there's a simple way around this. This only works if you're a member of the Meteor network and have the 'free texts' option.

Receive a text. The first step to texting for free while roaming with a mobile phone using a Meteor SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card is to get a text from another person first.

Reply to the text. For your texts to be free, they must be replies and not texts initiated by you. Only one reply per text sent you will work.

Fill in the all the character spots. There is room for 150 characters per text screen. For your roaming text to be free you must fill in every single character opening. Even if it's simply filling the last of your text with spaces or periods, you must physically punch a character for each of those 150 spots.

Send the text. As long as you send one 150 character completed reply per received text, all your roaming texts will be free.

Texts from a fellow member of the Meteor cellular phone service are free for the sender as well.
If you're having problems with this feature, log into Meteor's site with your phone number and the pin number that came with your SIM card. You are allowed 300 free web texts that may be sent to whomever you choose.
