Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Check the printed tire codes you will find on the tire and on the sticker on your driver's side door. Toyota recommends a range of 26 to 36 psi for the Tundra tires.
-
Step 2
Procure a tire pressure gauge from an auto parts store, buying the one you that is the easiest for you to read.
-
Step 3
Leave your truck stationary for a while. Driving around just heats up your tires, which expands the air inside. This throws off the pressure slightly. Early in the morning is the best time to check your tires.
-
Step 4
Remove the tiny plastic caps from each of your tires. Bear in mind that these have a way of skipping off into oblivion if you drop them.
-
Step 5
Attach the tire pressure gauge to each of the valve stems. Secure the stem until the gauge gives you a full reading.
-
Step 6
Remove the gauge from the stem valve on your Tundra and take a look at your reading. Compare this reading with the Toyota recommendations. Make the needed adjustments.
-
Step 7
Return the caps to their rightful places on the stem valves.
