Instructions

    • 1

Allow your Geo Tracker to rest for a couple hours before you check the tires. Tires heat up while driving. You want the tires to be cool when checking their pressure. Allowing the Tracker's tires to fully cool will ensure an accurate pressure reading.

    • 2

Remove the valve stem caps from all of your tires. These small black caps can easily be screwed off using your fingers. Check to see that all moisture and dirt are cleared from the opening within the valve stem for an accurate reading.

    • 3

Turn the gauge on and place it over the valve stem until you no longer hear air escaping. This means you have made a tight seal and the gauge is reading. Listen for the tire pressure reading on your talking air pressure gauge or look at the reading on an analog reader.

    • 4

Compare the readings with the recommended tire pressure on the side of the tire. Chevrolet recommends you keep the tire pressure in a Geo Tracker between 26 and 34 psi. If the tire is low add more air and recheck. If the tire is high, release some air by pressing the pin in the valve stem.
