Ever wonder why your ice cubes turn out "cloudy?" But when you order a cocktail at a bar they're clear?

Well It's not dirty water, it's just that there is a process of releasing the bubbles in your water to make them appear "clear."

Things You'll Need:

  • Distilled water
  • Ice cube tray
  • Stove

    Now, this may seem like an awful lot of trouble just to have clear ice cubes. But if you're like me, and like to impress your guests, this article will benefit you.

    First off, you MUST use distilled water. Distilled water has been purified and all the hard water minerals and deficiencies have been filtered out.

    Next, what you do if you fill your kettle with the distilled water and let it boil. This removes all the bubbles that cloud up your ice cubes when they're frozen. Once it's boiled, let it cool down.

    After it's cool, you must boil the water again, yes, two times. And again. Let it cool down.

    After that you may fill your cube trays, be careful to only fill the HALF-WAY if you fill the up this will cause too much freezing towards the center of the cubes and defeat the purpose.

    Put your tray in the freezer and let sit for a few hours.

    Wall-a! You have clear ice cubes, perfect for cocktails, and parties!
