  • 1 cup rice noodles
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/3 cup cilantro
  • Dipping Sauces: Peanut sauce, and Asian-style fish sauce are good to eat with Vietnamese Summer Rolls.

      Vietnamese Summer Roll - Ingredients

      -Each rice paper is soaked in luke-warm water for 10 to 15 seconds.
      (Completely dip each rice paper in warm water for 10 to 15 seconds until soft)
      -The soaking makes the rice paper pliable so that it can be rolled.

      -Lay the rice paper flat and layer lettuce, shredded carrots, rice noodles, cilantro, and sliced shrimp.
      (Quickly lay rice paper on flat surface.)
      (Take a handful of shredded lettuce and make a band near the lower diameter of the paper.)
      (Top with shredded carrots, cilantro, and rice noodles, and then two shrimp halves flat over the top.)

      -Quickly fold the rice paper over the ingredients. As you roll, tug a little so the vegetables stay together and roll away, and tuck in the ends!
      (Fold edge of rice paper over the shrimp and vegetables to completely cover, rolling away from your body.)
      (As you roll, fold in both sides and continue rolling until it is completely rolled.)
