    Banish negative thinking! Negative thoughts will only hinder your weight loss success. Instead, focus on positive thinking. Thoughts like "Exercise is an energy booster" and "Eating healthy nourishes my body" will assist you in achieving your weight loss goals. If you feel self-negativity coming on, put a positive spin on it. And do it quickly!

  2. Step 2

    Clean your cupboards! Get rid of unnecessary food items like ice cream and potato chips. Replace those fatty, sugary items with lean meats, whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. Go grocery shopping on a full stomach so you'll be less tempted to buy junk food. Fill up on water instead of soda pop and juice. And be realistic with eating healthy! Don't try to survive on only carrots and celery sticks; eating healthy can still mean feeling satisfied. Crack open a healthy recipe book and find meals that sound interesting to you.

    Work up a sweat! Find an exercise - any exercise - and have fun with it. Whether it's adding your favorite tunes to a walking routine or finding that perfect cardio DVD, you're more likely to stick with a workout routine if it's something you enjoy. And to really pep up your weight loss, weight train regularly. You'll not only achieve beautiful muscle tone and tighten up loose skin, gaining muscle will help you burn more calories around the clock.
