How to Make Chili thats Delicious and Easy

This is a simple chili recipe that is very easily prepared and tastes wonderful.

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 onions
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 1 large can ranch style beans
  • chili powder
  • ground oregano
  • ground cumin
  • crushed red pepper
  • 1 large cooking pot
  • cooking and stirring utensils
  • cooking oil
  1. Step 1

    Take onion, garlic, and bell pepper and chop them up. It does not have to be finely chopped.

  2. Step 2

    In cooking pot add 1/2 cup cooking oil and sauté the chopped vegetables until soft.

  3. Step 3

    Once vegetables are nice and soft add the ground beef and brown it. Do not drain the juice once meat is browned. It will help add flavor to the finished product.

  4. Step 4

    Now add the can of ranch style beans and the two cans of chopped tomatoes. Stir the beans and tomatoes in thoroughly. At this point if you feel the chili needs more liquid you can add water.

  5. Step 5

    We will now add 7 table spoons of chili powder, 1 level tsp of cumin, 1 level tsp of oregano and 2 tsp of crushed red pepper. If you like it extra spicy you can add more red pepper. Or leave out the red pepper altogether if you don't like spicy chili.

  6. Step 6

    Turn heat on low and let simmer for 45 minutes. Be sure to stir occasionally to prevent burning.

  7. Step 7

    Grab a bowl and spoon and enjoy.
